El festival de la cosecha (Harvest Fest)

On November 30th our Dual Language Kindergarten Team had our Harvest Fest.  So many of our parents came and volunteered their time to make this a fun, crafty day for our students.
Caleb, Gage and Anthony hope they can eat their cookies once they finish decorating them.

Jordan and Alex seem to be enjoying adding all that sugary frosting onto their cookies.

Anna and Lorenzo look for more goodies to put on their cookies.

On to making glistening leaves.

Mrs. Perez, always there to help our little ones.  We love you.

"Just a little bit of glue is all you need."

Yay!!!!! Pumpkin carving!

"Make sure to get all the seeds out."

"It sounds pretty empty in there."
"Uno, dos tres.  Cristian, what comes after tres?"

Three pretty ladies amazed at how much our kids have learned.

Ms. Martinez gives a little help to Diego and Caleb.

Jayden and Anthony listen attentively to instructions.
Such concentration!

Ms. Mari ayudando con los espantapajaros.

Mom and Xavier making sure the rectangle is glued in the right place.
Serina, Andre, Emerson and Sienna working with those 5 little pumpkins.

Mom making sure Marquez can read the poem, Five Little Pumpkins.
At the end of the morning all the children listen to a story read by our very own Mrs. Cromer.

It was fun seeing Mickey glow in the dark.

Our dads did a great job carving all those pumpkins.

Mrs. Thompson's class all rally around the pumpkins.  As does Mrs. Cromer's class.

Our Harvest Fest was a very enjoyable event.  We take these opportunities to not only get our parents to come and enjoy the day with our students but to meet and get to know the other parents also involved in the program.  Our next program will be out Thanksgiving Luncheon and, hopefully, again we'll have the opportunity to sit down and enjoy each other a little more.  Once again, thank you to all the parents who came out and volunteered their time.
